Learn Fun New Skills

Tumbling classes will focus on standing and running tumbling skills as well as stretching, flexibility and conditioning. Our gym is equipped with the safest equipment available. Students who are new to tumbling will feel right at home, while experienced students will have opportunities to challenge themselves.

 

Classes are set up according to ability level and age. In addition to the multitude of physical, mental and emotional benefits our sports provide, Pierce Athletics is proud to offer high quality instruction with educated, professional staff.

 

Children improve coordination, flexibility, strength and power in our classes. In addition to these physical benefits, kids gain the opportunity to improve social skills, gain self-esteem and confidence, develop character and learn goal setting. Class Options

Beginner
Tumbling

Coed | 4 years – 14 years
This class involves stretching, conditioning, and basic progressive mat tumbling through cartwheels as well as basic limbering skills. Classes set up according to age.

Advanced Beginner Tumbling

Coed | 4 years – 18 years
This class involves stretching, conditioning, and advanced progressive mat tumbling through forward & backward limbering series, running cartwheels & round-offs, as well as standing flip-flops. Tumbling requirements are to independently perform a backbend from a standing position that can kick over or stand up. Classes set up according to age.

Power
Tumbling

Coed | 5 years – Adult
This class involves stretching, intense conditioning, and progressive power tumbling from flip-flops to a series of flip-flops. Tumbling requirements are to independently perform forward & backward limbering skills & a running round-off with consistent form and proper technique. Classes set up according to ability level.

Advanced Power Tumbling

Coed | 6 years – Adult
This class involves stretching, intense conditioning, and progressive power tumbling from individual aerial skills through alternating, bounding, twisting & double rotating skills. Tumbling requirements are to independently perform a standing & running series of flip-flops with consistent form, proper technique, and speed. Classes set up according to ability level.
